idk why but i was just imagining sherlock unexpectedly one night opening up and unburdening his gay baby feelings about john to lestrade and whining about how hopeless it all is and lestrade wanting to make him feel better somehow but he doesn’t really know what to do with this situation so he just puts a hand on sherlock’s shoulder and is like “sherlock… you know… actually… john is actually trash” and sherlock sniffling and being like “yes of course he’s trash, i know he’s trash, what does that have to do with anything”
